This isn't a spoiler, she was on the poster AND was officially released as a promo picture for the Star Wars The Force Awakens Visual Dictionary. 

The first sketch I did of Maz, and I will definitely be drawing her again. I just LOVED her in Force Awakens I can’t explain why, she was just, awesome.
